The All England Lawn Tennis Club today marked 100 days to go until the 138th staging of The Championships, from 30 June-13 July 2025.
Demand for The Championships continues to grow, with another record year of applications for the Wimbledon Public Ballot received from tennis fans across the UK and around the world. There has been an impressive increase from 2024 applications, with the United States, Italy and Ireland among the leading international markets showing strong interest in attending the Wimbledon Fortnight.
All of the Wimbledon Public Ballot tickets have now been sold and Keith Prowse, Official Hospitality Partner of The Championships, has reported that hospitality packages for the Fortnight are on target to sell out by the end of March, which would surpass last year as the earliest sell out achieved. With only a few spaces remaining in The Lawn, the increasingly popular premium experiences for Centre Court and No.1 Court are sold out for the entirety of this year’s Championships - as well as Michelin Star Chef Michel Roux’s ‘Le Gavroche at The Lawn’ which returns following a successful launch in 2024.
To celebrate 100 days until The Championships, the All England Club has unveiled this year’s Official Poster, titled Tennis in an English Garden, created by British graphic designer Sarah Madden.
Inspired by the unique floral surroundings of The Championships, the artwork captures the contrast between world-class tennis and the serene, botanical beauty of SW19. An excited crowd blends seamlessly into a pristine flowerbed of hydrangeas, petunias, butterflies and bees—highlighting Wimbledon’s distinctive blend of sport and nature.
Sarah commented, "Wimbledon is more than a tennis tournament – it’s a celebration of tradition, the English summer in full bloom, and a sporting experience unlike others. The atmosphere strikes a beautiful balance between the excitement of the crowd, the beauty of the setting, and the timeless prestige of The Championships. I wanted the poster to capture that balance and unmistakably convey the essence of Wimbledon, showcasing the intensity of the sport, the thrill of the crowds, and the calm, natural beauty of its surroundings. Wimbledon has a magic of its own, and I hope this artwork reflects that."
Further updates on arrangements for The Championships 2025 are outlined below:
Operational Updates
As announced in October last year, the provisional schedule for The Championships finals weekend has been adjusted, with the gentlemen’s and ladies’ doubles finals to commence at 1pm, followed by the ladies’ and gentlemen’s singles finals at 4pm, on the second Saturday and Sunday respectively.
Live Electronic Line Calling (Live ELC) has been adopted for this year’s Championships and onwards. The officiating technology will be in place across all Championships and Qualifying match courts and cover the ‘out’ and ‘fault’ calls that have previously been made by line umpires.
The decision to adopt Live ELC was made following the successful completion of extensive testing during last year’s Championships and builds on the existing ball tracking and line calling technology that has been in place for many years.
Food and Drink
This year’s Championships will see the launch of an enhanced player restaurant, featuring an extended outdoor terrace with increased seating capacity, alongside a redesigned kitchen and servery to showcase a wide variety of menu items. This improvement forms part of phase one of the Millennium Building project which seeks to transform the player experience with increased facilities onsite for future Championships.
The Cavendish will open as a new public restaurant for The Championships, with all-day dining options available within the heart of No.1 Court. Formerly named Parkside Kitchen, the refurbished and renamed space will provide a dining experience that champions the best of British, seasonal ingredients – whether guests are seeking a quick bite to eat in between matches, a relaxed lunch, or a traditional Wimbledon afternoon tea.
The Cavendish is named after Henry Jones (known as ‘Cavendish’) who is one of the unsung pioneers of lawn tennis. He was a founding Member of the All England Club and was behind the introduction of tennis to the Club and also the creation of The Championships. He was the Referee for the first Championships in 1877 and was responsible for refining the original rules to give us the game that we largely have today.
The Cavendish is available for reservations in advance, as well as walk-ins on the day. Guests attending The Championships can make their reservation here.
Community Sport
There are now more than 20,000 members across our Community Tennis Centre in Raynes Park and Community Sports Centre in Roehampton as they continue to be thriving hubs for grassroots sport.
The 22-acre (Raynes Park) and 28-acre (Roehampton) sites host local schools, community groups, local charities and numerous activities for registered members as well as serving as an official Championships practice site and Qualifying venue. At the conclusion of The Championships we will once again open up our world-class grass courts, at both venues, to the community for the remainder of the summer.
Broadcast Partnerships
Wimbledon’s global appeal is as strong as ever, and with record viewing figures in many key markets last year, a host of media rights agreements will commence at this year’s Championships. Tencent has regained exclusive digital rights in mainland China. There have also been extensions from 2025 with NHK & WOWOW (Japan), SMG (Shanghai), Sport 5 (Israel), Nova (Greece), Polsat (Poland), Telefonica (Spain), Sport Klub (Bosnia Herzegovina, Croatia, North Macedonia, Montenegro, Slovenia, Serbia), Setanta Sports (Ukraine & Moldova), and Sport 24, the live sports channel for the airline and cruise line industries.
Environmental Sustainability
Wimbledon remains firmly committed to its 2030 Environment Positive goal. Working together with evian, our Official Water Partner for the last 16 years, evian continues its commitment with Wimbledon to reduce plastic packaging waste at The Championships 2025 and invites spectators to sip again and again, encouraging more than 500,000 people to join the refill and reuse movement.
This year, Barclays, our Official Banking Partner, has committed an additional financial investment to fund the installation of Naked Energy’s unique solar thermal collectors on the roof of Aorangi Pavilion.
The technology, which received investment from Barclays Climate Ventures in 2022, will use solar power to heat the water system within the practice facility for players during The Championships.
This project further supports the All England Club’s strategy to decarbonise the Estate through removing gas and adding renewable energy generation. Elsewhere, six additional kitchens onsite are now gas-free, including the kitchen within the Aorangi Pavilion, a total of 14 kitchens have now been degassed since 2023.
Sally Bolton, Chief Executive of the All England Club, commented: “As we mark 100 days to go, it is terrific to see extraordinary demand from fans around the world looking to attend The Championships.
“Each year we strive to evolve and grow our offering for players and guests alike, including the introduction of a new public restaurant with all-day dining options, as well as phase one of the Millennium Building project being delivered with a stunning new player restaurant for the athletes to enjoy.
“As we continue to build towards delivering a fantastic Wimbledon Fortnight, we are looking forward to welcoming the world to Wimbledon for what is poised to once again be a high point of the British sporting summer.”
